Engine and turbo work is where a van spends longest off the road, so these packages bring every part the job needs in one delivery, including the ones usually discovered missing halfway through: gaskets, oil feed pipes, bolts and fluids. Turbo failures on vans are almost always caused by oil supply, a blocked particulate filter or a boost leak, and we say so on every turbo we sell, because fitting a new one without finding the cause means buying another. The Transit Custom is the one tonne workhorse of trades fleets. It shares its 2.0 EcoBlue engine with the big Transit, and its brakes wear quickly on stop start urban work.

Fitting

Labour guide: about 16 hours. Orders placed before 3pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from UK stock, with next day delivery on the standard service and timed or Saturday delivery available. A van off the road costs a business far more than the part, and that is what the stock holding is for. Send the registration or VIN with the order and we check the part against the build data before dispatch. Vans change specification mid run and between body, wheelbase and gross weight variants, and a quick check prevents a return and a second day off the road. Trade accounts get 30 day terms on approval, fleet pricing, a named account manager and a monthly consolidated invoice. Fleets with ten or more vans can have a price file and stock held against their registrations. We are an independent supplier of light commercial vehicle parts. We are not Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Vauxhall or Renault and are not appointed by them; the van names are their trademarks and are used to describe fitment. We stock OE supplier, genuine and premium aftermarket side by side and say which is which on every listing.

Which version to buy

Remanufactured is rebuilt to specification with new wear parts and tested, with a surcharge refunded on your old unit. There is one specification of this because it is the one we supply to our fleet customers.
