Fitment and registration check

Getting the right part is the whole job. Many Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Vauxhall and Renault vans changed specification part way through production, sometimes more than once in a model year, so two vans that look identical can need different parts.

How we check

Give us the van's registration, or the last seven characters of the VIN. You can put these in the order notes at checkout, or email them to info@atautoparts.co.uk with your order number. We check the part against your van's build record before anything is dispatched. If it is not right, we contact you before sending anything.

Where to find your VIN

  • On your V5C registration document, in the box marked E.
  • At the bottom of the windscreen on the driver's side.
  • On a plate in the engine bay, on the door pillar, or stamped into the chassis rail.

Part numbers

Where a listing covers several build variants, we do not print a single part number against it, because that is how people order the wrong part. We cross reference the original equipment number for your registration or VIN and confirm it before dispatch.

Coding

Some modules need coding to the van before they work. The listing says whether a part needs coding, whether it arrives already coded to your VIN, or whether it works straight away.

AdBlue, DPF and EGR parts

We supply genuine repair and replacement AdBlue, DPF and EGR parts only. We do not sell, fit or advise on deletes, blanks, emulators or any other defeat software, whatever the reason for asking, and we will not accept an order that says otherwise in the notes.
